How long does Profhilo® last?
Typically results from treatments over a 4 – 6 week period will last for approximately 6 months; this does vary person to person.
Where can Profhilo® be used?
It can be used in the Face, Neck, and Décolletage. On the body it can treat the Hands, Upper Arms and above the Knees.
Is the treatment painful?
You may feel a slight pinching or burning sensation when the injections are administered. However, we are able to apply a topic anaesthetic cream making the treatment virtually painless.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend 2 sessions spaced one month apart to achieve optimum results. However, if skin problems are severe, a third session may be beneficial two months after the second session. To maintain results, we recommend a further treatment every six months. Initial results will usually be seen 2-3 weeks after the first session.
Are there any side effects?
You may experience redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site but these side effects will normally resolve naturally within a couple of days.
What is the difference between Profhilo® and Dermal Fillers?
Dermal filler is injected to enhance a specific area such as the lips and cheeks, and it does not typically migrate to the surrounding skin. Profhilo® works very differently as it is made of 100% hyaluronic acid, while dermal fillers have other components. Because it is made of a completely natural substance, it blends into the skin seamlessly and distributes itself evenly. Due to its intensively high purity and the absence of additives, Profhilo® offers greater safety and therefore reduced side effects.
