Frequently asked questions
What conditions does microneedling treat?
Microneedling can be used to improve the appearance of various skin concerns, including acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, skin pigmentation, uneven skin texture and stretch marks. Microneedling can be used on stretch marks on the abdomen, flank and thigh areas.
What will I experience during treatment?
During the procedure, a microneedling device is gently passed over the skin, creating tiny punctures. This process triggers the body’s wound healing response, promoting the production of new collagen and skin tissue.
Will I need recovery time after treatment?
Typically you will need to take some time after microneedling to recover depending on the intensity of the treatment. Mild redness, swelling and sensitivity can occur for a day or two after the procedure. More intensive treatments may require a few days for recovery.
How soon will I see results?
Results are gradual and become more noticeable as the skin’s natural collagen production increases. Improvement can be observed within a few weeks to months after the initial treatment, with continued improvements over time. Results will typically last for up to one year.
