Skin Preparation
For results that last it is essential that you follow the homecare guidance pre & post peel. You will be provided with a mesoesthetic depigmentation skin preparation kit to use for 4 weeks before your in clinic treatment. This kit contains:
- Brightening foam – creamy cleansing foam. Renewing, rebalancing and anti-pollution.
- Brightening concentrate – patented (meso)eligen system to help the skin regain its regenerative capacity for a firmer, smoother and brighter appearance.
- Melan tran3x gel cream – depigmenting cream containing tranexamic acid, hydroxy acid complex, tyr control complex & niacinamide.
- melan 130+ pigment control – high protection sunscreen that regulates hyperpigmentation

Stage two
Following 4 weeks of at home skin prep, you will come into clinic for your cosmelan® peel with one of our trained practitioners. This is a professional treatment with a concentrated formula, cosmelan®1 that allows intensive skin renewal to remove the existing spots.
You will leave the clinic with the peel applied to your face and it will need to be left on for a further 8 hours.

Stage Three
Six Month Home Protocol
Following your in-clinic cosmelan® peel you will need to follow a 6 month home protocol to ensure the best results are achieved. Your practitioner will give specific advice on this.
The products used at this stage are:
- Depigmenting cream, cosmelan®2 is a home treatment designed to complement cosmelan®1 that attenuates spots and regulates melanin overproduction, preventing their reappearance, applied morning and evening.
- Melan Recovery – renourishes and rebalances skin subject to tissue renewal. Soothes and reduces sensitivity, providing comfort against inflammation and redness.
- mesoprotech® melan 130 pigment control. Very high sun protection with colour and with maximum efficacy and safety against 131 UVB and 67 UVA. It protects the skin and helps control skin pigmentation.

How does cosmelan® work?
cosmelan® works by inhibiting the production of melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation. The treatment uses a combination of active ingredients to exfoliate and reduce pigmentation, providing a brighter and more even complexion.
How many sessions are required?
For most people only 1 or 2 sessions are needed. If the complete protocol is followed results can last for years.
Who is a good candidate for cosmelan®?
cosmelan® is suitable for most skin types, especially those with hyperpigmentation, melanoma, sun spots or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Who isn't suitable for cosmelan®?
cosmelan® is not recommended for people with active skin conditions such as acne or rosacea, however we do have lots of other treatment options suitable for these conditions.
How long do results last?
The results can last for years depending on your skin type and how well you follow the aftercare.
What is the downtime after treatment?
After the treatment you may experience redness, peeling or flaking, these effects are temporary and will subside as the skin heals.
Are there any side effects?
Common side effects include redness, swelling, irritation, peeling & darkening of the treatment areas. These usually subside as the skin heals.
