Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides

An injectable bio-stimulator, this ground breaking treatment is derived from salmon DNA fragments which are injected under the skin to stimulate fibroblasts which can lead to improved skin quality.

If you are looking to treat fine lines and wrinkles, scars, loss of elasticity or under-eye darkness you will love the effects of Polynucleotides.

Unlike traditional fillers which add volume, polynucleotides work on a cellular level to improve skin health, elasticity and appearance.

Frequently asked questions

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are biopolymers composed of nucleotide monomers, which are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. These proteins are derived from fish DNA and in this case from salmon sperm.

They are great for promoting tissue regeneration and repair by stimulating the skin's natural healing processes.

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides work on a cellular level to improve skin health, elasticity and appearance. They function by activating various cellular mechanisms that contribute to skin regeneration.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment can be uncomfortable for some but a topical anaesthetic cream can be applied before treatment to ease the discomfort. Please make us aware if you need time added to your appointment of the numbing cream.

What happens during the treatment?

During the treatment, polynucleotides are injected into the area using fine needles.

Are there any side effects?

After the treatment you may experience mild redness or swelling, but these side effects typically don't last long.

What are the main benefits of Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are great for a range of skin concerns, including:

Ageing skin (fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin) - polynucleotides can help rejuvenate and restore your skin's youthful appearance. Acne scarring or other imperfections - polynucleotides can significantly improve the texture of the skin.Sensitive or compromised skin - due to their anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, polynucleotides are also suitable for individuals with sensitive or compromised skin.

Polynucleotides also make a great preventative treatment to maintain skin health and prevent future issues.

How many treatments are necessary?

You can have just one treatment to notice results but we recommend a course of 3 treatments for the best results.

How long will results take to show?

The results from polynucleotide treatments are not immediate but develop gradually over time.  Most clients start to notice improvements in their skin's texture, elasticity and hydration with a few weeks, with full results appearing after several months.
